PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — If you’re looking for some plants to spruce up your home or garden this fall, head to Pender County.
The Pender County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association will hold a Fall Plant Sale, Saturday, September 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hampstead United Methodist Church (15395 US Highway 17 North, Hampstead).
It will include a great selection of nursery and Master Gardener grown shrubs, flowers, and cool season vegetables. Many will be deer resistant, salt tolerant, pollinator friendly, and native plants.
This year, customers will also be able to select and purchase plants on-line, from September 22 to October 12, through Gardens-Direct at www.gardens-direct.com. Online orders placed from September 22 through September 28 may be picked up at the plant sale.
Visitors will also be able to purchase new gardening items and gently used gardening must-haves. There will be a raffle and a food court.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit many educational Pender Master Gardener programs.
