WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Warmer temperatures are moving and spring is less than a week away.
Grounds at Oakdale Cemetery are blooming including what is believed to the oldest living shrub in Wilmington.
The cemetery posted a photo online of the Photinia “glabra” in full bloom. Another photo was shared of the shrub from around 1900 by Superintendent Timothy Donlan.
The post says the plant is nearly 150 years old.
You too can see it and all its glory at 520 North 15th Street.
